The development zone covers a total area of 45.74 square kilometers and is being developed according to a "one belt, nine zones" spatial layout.‌
Several specialized parks have been planned and constructed, including the Ming-Qing Dengping Industrial Park, the Qiaodong Pharmaceutical and Chemical Park, and the Lianhua International Turquoise City, forming a "one zone, multiple parks" structure.‌ The industrial focus is on seven key sectors, including green food and turquoise processing.‌
