The Hechi Economic and Technological Development Zone has a total planned area of 2,898.6934 hectares and consists of four sub-parks. Among these, the Municipal Industrial Park covers an area of 1,391.2096 hectares (including the 460.1754-hectare chemical industrial zone within the Daren Industrial Park);the Nandan Sub-Park covers 775.9831 hectares; the Huanjiang Sub-Park covers 311.0167 hectares; and the Du’an Sub-Park covers 420.4840 hectares. The leading industries include non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling, liquor, beverage, and refined tea manufacturing, chemical raw materials and chemical product manufacturing, as well as wood processing and the production of wood, bamboo, rattan, palm, and grass products. Through the “1+3” model, the park aims to expand and strengthen its industrial economy, share in the policy benefits of the Economic and Technological Development Zone, and fully commit to building Hechi into a leading hub for industrial clustering and innovation, as well as a vanguard for industrial revitalization and development. The park has been successively designated as one of the nation’s first pilot zones for incremental power distribution reform, one of Guangxi’s first private economy demonstration zones, a key autonomous region-supported park, and a “Science and Technology Innovation Guangxi” demonstration zone. Focusing on the goal of building a “New Hechi of Economic Prosperity,” the Economic and Technological Development Zone centers on the “2+5+N” industrial system, leveraging economies of scale to promote industrial agglomeration and enhance coordinated development, thereby becoming one of Guangxi’s 10 “50-billion-yuan” parks. The Economic and Technological Development Zone adheres to a development strategy of integration, clustering, differentiation, and specialization, defining the development positioning of each sub-zone based on resource endowments and industrial foundations. Among these, the Municipal Industrial Park extends the industrial chain through the deep processing of new metal materials such as lead, zinc, antimony, and germanium, with a focus on rare and precious metal new materials, fine pharmaceutical and chemical industries, and new energy; The Nandan Sub-Park focuses on lead-zinc-tin-antimony smelting, deep processing of non-ferrous metal new materials, specialty wine production, new energy equipment manufacturing, calcium carbonate new materials, and deep processing of agricultural by-products;The Huanjiang Sub-Park will focus on forest product processing, silk processing, specialty food processing, and energy industries; The Du’an Sub-Park will focus on non-metallic mineral products, cultural and educational goods, arts and crafts, sports and recreational equipment manufacturing, and agricultural and sideline food processing industries.
