The Nanyang Zhongguancun Science and Technology Industrial Park, located in the Nanyang High-Tech Development Zone, held its inauguration ceremony on November 23, 2013.
The establishment of the Nanyang Zhongguancun Science and Technology Industrial Park will further deepen economic and technological exchanges and cooperation between Nanyang City, Henan Province, and Beijing, jointly building a new pattern of regional coordinated development characterized by north-south collaboration and mutual benefit, which will promote the joint development of the economy and science and technology.
The park’s primary functions include serving as a hub for headquarters-based economy, an enterprise incubator, and a base for key flagship projects.
According to reports, the park will focus on developing a “4+1” industrial system: the smart manufacturing industry, represented by optoelectronic displays, equipment manufacturing, and smart grids; the materials technology industry, represented by superhard materials, metallic materials, and polymer materials; the energy and environmental protection industry, represented by water technology and bioenergy; and the bioscience industry, represented by life sciences and modern traditional Chinese medicine. At the same time, the park will vigorously develop modern service industries.
