The Xuzhou National Safety Science and Technology Industrial Park is a high-tech industrial park jointly developed by the Xuzhou High-Tech Zone and the China Academy of Work Safety Sciences. It is located on Lijiang Road in the Xuzhou High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province.The park’s master-planned area spans 180 square kilometers, with a built-up area of 50 square kilometers (as of 2017). It aims to transform Xuzhou High-Tech Zone into a national center for safety technology R&D and international safety technology exchange, a national hub for the safety technology industry, a national trading center for safety technology and equipment, and a national center for mine safety emergency rescue by fostering the clustering of safety technology innovation, safety technology industries, and safety technology services.
The park enjoys a superior geographical location, convenient transportation, and well-developed infrastructure. Additionally, the park collaborates with universities and research institutions such as China University of Mining and Technology, the China Academy of Work Safety, and China Coal Technology & Engineering Group to promote collaborative innovation in safety technology, thereby establishing a platform for the development of the intelligent mine safety technology industry in the Xuzhou High-Tech Zone.
The Xuzhou National Safety Technology Industrial Park is a key specialty industrial park under development by the Xuzhou High-Tech Development Zone, serving as the cradle and pioneer zone for the development of China’s safety and emergency response industry. In recent years, leveraging its unique strengths and seizing the early opportunities in the safety and emergency response sector, Xuzhou has established the nation’s earliest, fastest-growing, and most comprehensive specialty industrial cluster in this field, attracting over 800 enterprises in areas such as safety protection, monitoring and early warning, emergency rescue, and safety services.
