Industrial Park Introduction
The Dandong Zhenxing Economic Development Zone (formerly the Tangchi Economic Development Zone) in Liaoning Province was established in April 2013 as a municipal-level development zone with a planned area of 12.25 square kilometers. In December 2021, it was elevated to the status of a provincial-level economic development zone and renamed the Dandong Zhenxing Economic Development Zone. With a planned area of 6.65 square kilometers, it is divided into five blocks and focuses on developing industries such as precision manufacturing, electronic information, and health and wellness services.

The area is well-equipped with transportation infrastructure, including an airport, expressways, high-speed rail, and national highways, making it a key transportation hub for Dandong City. Its development strategy centers on existing electromechanical and commerce-logistics industries as pillar sectors, while cultivating new materials, equipment manufacturing, and precision machining as emerging industries, and leveraging resource-driven development as a growth sector. This approach aims to build a “2+3+1” modern industrial system characterized by an optimized structure, high value-added, and strong employment generation capacity.

In recent years, the District Party Committee and District Government of Zhenxing, leveraging the development zone’s industrial foundation and resource advantages, have carefully planned strategies to consolidate and upgrade existing industries such as apparel and textiles, as well as light industry and daily chemicals. They have designated precision manufacturing and electronic information—the two major leading industries—along with the distinctive health and wellness medical services sector as pillar industries.Following the concept of “one district, multiple parks” and integrated advancement, the zone has been divided into five distinct parks: the Light Industry Park, the High-Tech Industrial Park, the Commerce and Logistics Park, the Health and Medical Services Park, and the Xicheng Sub-Park. Each of these five parks has its own unique characteristics and focus, forming an interconnected and mutually reinforcing framework. In 2021, the operating revenue of industrial enterprises above designated size in the Development Zone reached 3.17 billion yuan, representing a year-on-year increase of 22.4%.

In the East Zone Light Industry Park, the production workshop of Dandong Alps Electronics Co., Ltd. is bustling with activity, as workers assemble various electronic smart switches. In the workshop of Dandong Futian Precision Machinery Co., Ltd., rows of automated CNC machines are producing precision components. As the developed area of the Development Zone, this zone is home to 64 enterprises and has essentially formed a light industry cluster dominated by apparel and textiles, electronic instruments, and precision manufacturing.Currently, there are 17 large-scale enterprises, 10 export-oriented enterprises, and 16 technology-based enterprises.
