The Huyanghe Economic and Technological Development Zone (formerly the Wuwu Industrial Park) is located in Huyanghe City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It was established in March 2011 with the approval of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps and was officially renamed the “Huyanghe Economic and Technological Development Zone” in October 2020 following approval by the Corps. The zone covers an area of 92.93 square kilometers.
The Huyanghe Economic and Technological Development Zone focuses on the development of petrochemicals, coal chemicals, salt chemicals, new energy, new building materials, and advanced materials. The southern section of the Wuwu Industrial Park covers a planned area of 15 square kilometers and prioritizes the development of industries such as electronic instruments, energy-saving products, building materials and equipment manufacturing, eco-pharmaceuticals, textile printing and dyeing, and warehousing and logistics.
The Huyanghe Economic and Technological Development Zone features comprehensive infrastructure, convenient transportation, abundant power and water resources, and rich surrounding mineral resources. It possesses distinct advantages for supporting the Seventh Division’s development of new industrialization. Currently, it has become a key platform for the Seventh Division’s investment promotion, a hotspot for industrial relocation, and a development base for distinctive industries.
