This provincial-level economic and technological development zone, located in Huozhou City, Linfen, Shanxi Province, serves as a major base for the energy, chemical, and equipment manufacturing industries in southern Shanxi. With a planned area of approximately 20 square kilometers, its leading industries include coal coking and related industries, equipment manufacturing, and new materials.

Leveraging the resources of the Huozhou Coal and Electricity Group, the zone focuses on the comprehensive utilization of coke oven gas, the deep processing of coal tar, and the production of high-end carbon materials such as needle coke. At the same time, it is fostering industries in heavy machinery and mining equipment manufacturing to build an integrated “coal–chemicals–materials” industrial chain.

The zone enjoys convenient transportation links, with the South Tongpu Railway and the G5 Beijing-Kunming Expressway running through it, and is a 40-minute drive from Linfen West Station. The industrial layout is guided by the principle of “deep processing of resources + circular economy,” with the construction of a circular economy industrial park and an equipment manufacturing park.

In terms of infrastructure, 650,000 square meters of specialized industrial space have been completed, supported by a hazardous waste treatment center and a centralized heating system. Supporting services include the Huozhou Economic Development Zone Enterprise Service Center, talent apartments, and a vocational skills training base.
