The Tai'an Tourism Economic Development Zone is a provincial-level tourist resort established in 1995 with the approval of the Shandong Provincial People's Government. Located at the southern foot of Mount Tai and to the west of Tai'an City, it is adjacent to the provincial capital, Jinan. With a planned area of approximately 50 square kilometers and a current permanent population of over 200,000, it serves as a modern, eco-friendly, and livable new district in western Tai'an and a demonstration zone for the development of all-for-one tourism in the Greater Mount Tai region. It is hailed as the "Living Room of Qilu" and the "Western Gateway to Tai'an."
