The Qingdao International Economic Cooperation Zone is located 20 meters west of the intersection of the S7601 Qingdao Qianwan Port No. 1 Port Access Expressway exit and Qixinghe Road in Huangdao District, Qingdao City, Shandong Province. The planned area of the Qingdao International Economic Cooperation Zone is 202 square kilometers.
As of April 2023, the Sino-German Eco-Park—the only intergovernmental cooperation zone between China and Germany—is progressing smoothly. Construction has begun on the Sino-British Innovation Industrial Park, the only Sino-British local cooperation zone approved by the Ministry of Commerce. Additionally, the Sino-French Business and Innovation Base, the Sino-Japan-Korea Innovation Industrial Park, as well as the Sino-Finnish Center, the Sino-Swiss Center, and the Sino-Russian Local Cooperation Park have been established.The Qingdao International Economic Cooperation Zone is accelerating the development of a “3+N” leading industrial system, where “3” refers to the three major industries of life sciences and healthcare, intelligent manufacturing, and new energy and new materials, while “N” represents clusters of Fortune 500 companies and “hidden champions.” Currently, more than 400 enterprises from 17 countries and regions have gathered here, including over 50 foreign-invested enterprises, 7 Fortune 500 companies, and more than 20 international “hidden champions.”
