Park Overview
The Binzhou Beihai Economic Development Zone is one of the four port-adjacent industrial zones designated in the national strategic plan for the Yellow River Delta High-Efficiency Ecological Economic Zone, and it is also a key component of the Shandong Peninsula Blue Economic Zone. Located in the northernmost part of Shandong Province on the southwestern shore of the Bohai Bay, it boasts a coastline of 180 kilometers. The zone has a planned total area of 1,500 square kilometers, a population of 67,000, and a controlled area of 526 square kilometers. In accordance with the national "Development Plan for the Yellow River Delta High-Efficiency Ecological Economic Zone," the CPC Binzhou Municipal Committee and the Municipal Government made a scientific decision to establish the Beihai New Area Administrative Committee on April 2, 2010. They proposed seizing the development opportunities presented by the Yellow River Delta, mobilizing the entire city’s resources to advance the construction of the Beihai New Area, and building it into a pilot zone for the Yellow River Delta. On September 29, 2010, the provincial government formally approved the establishment of the Binzhou Beihai Economic Development Zone.
