Pingyuan County is located in northwestern Shandong Province and central Dezhou City. With a total area of 1,047 square kilometers and a population of 470,000, the county administers 8 towns, 1 township, 3 subdistrict offices, and 1 provincial-level economic development zone (Shandong Pingyuan Economic Development Zone). It has earned accolades such as “National Advanced County for Grain Production,” “National Advanced County for Ecological Civilization,” and the “National Award for Best Urban Management and Public Satisfaction.”
The three-year action plan to build a strong county through new industrialization has been fully launched, with the annual average growth rate of industrial added value for enterprises above designated size reaching 6.5%. In 2020, the number of enterprises paying over 10 million yuan in taxes reached 25. Fuyang Biotechnology surpassed 100 million yuan in tax revenue and was named a National Single-Champion Enterprise in Manufacturing, while 22 enterprises, including Zhengzhou Machinery, were recognized as Provincial Single-Champion Enterprises in Manufacturing, Gazelle Enterprises, and “Specialized, Refined, Unique, and Innovative” enterprises.
