The Linyi National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone was established in 1992 and was approved for upgrading to a National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone following deliberation by the State Council’s Executive Meeting on June 15, 2010.The zone is committed to developing high-tech industries, encouraging investment in traditional processing projects with a certain level of high-tech content, supporting projects with innovative elements, and assisting the development of eight major categories of projects—including those that are high-tech, precision-engineered, cutting-edge, large-scale, innovative, and foreign-invested—in the fields of electronic information technology, new materials, and bioengineering.
