The Yicheng Economic Development Zone is a provincial-level economic development zone established in March 2006 with the approval of the People’s Government of Shandong Province. With a total planned area of 20 square kilometers and an initial development zone of 4 square kilometers, it is situated at the junction of Jiangsu, Shandong, Henan, and Anhui provinces and at the heart of the Huaihai Economic Zone, serving as a transitional zone between the eastern coastal region and the western inland hinterland.To the east lie the three major ports of Rizhao, Qingdao, and Lianyungang; to the west runs the Beijing-Shanghai Railway; to the south lies the Ancient Grand Canal; and to the north is the Guanshi Lychee Garden Scenic Area. The Beijing-Fuzhou and Beijing-Shanghai Expressway connectors, as well as National Highway 206, traverse the area, offering a superior geographical location and highly convenient transportation.
