The Guangrao County Economic and Technological Development Zone was established in 1992 and was approved by the Shandong Provincial Government as a provincial-level economic development zone in 1994. In 2009, it successfully ranked among the top 30 provincial-level development zones and was named one of “Shandong’s Top Ten Most Economically Dynamic Parks” and one of “Shandong’s Top Ten Development Zones with the Greatest Investment Potential.”In the first three quarters of this year, industrial enterprises above designated size in the zone achieved a total industrial output value of 42.8 billion yuan, generated 5.35 billion yuan in profits and taxes, contributed 270 million yuan to local fiscal revenue, and recorded a total import and export volume of 483 million U.S. dollars.
