A National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, established in 2001 and upgraded to a National High-Tech Zone in 2015, is located in the western part of Tai’an City, Shandong Province, with a planned area of 88 square kilometers. Its leading industries include high-end equipment manufacturing, new materials, biopharmaceuticals, and new energy.It is home to leading enterprises such as Taishan Fiberglass, Lupu Nite, Taikai Group, and Hualu Pharmaceutical.
It is adjacent to the G3 Beijing-Taiwan Expressway, the G2 Beijing-Shanghai Expressway, and the Tai’an Station of the Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway, and is approximately 80 kilometers from Jinan International Airport and 60 kilometers from Qufu High-Speed Railway Station. The park has established a “one zone, multiple parks” structure, comprising functional sectors such as the New Materials Industrial Park, the Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park, and the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Industrial Park.By 2025, the park aims to achieve a total industrial output value exceeding 92 billion yuan, with the new materials industry cluster alone surpassing 38 billion yuan. Supporting facilities include the Taian High-Tech Zone Science and Technology Service Center, talent apartments, a primary and secondary school education complex, and a branch of a Grade III-A hospital.
