The Penglai Economic and Technological Development Zone is a provincial-level development zone approved by the People’s Government of Shandong Province. Located five kilometers east of Penglai District, it borders National Highway 206 to the south and Penglai New Port to the north. With its beautiful environment, well-developed transportation network, and prime geographical location, it serves as a comprehensive development zone integrating industry, commerce, tourism, leisure, finance, and marine industries.The planned area covers 15.2 square kilometers. To date, 6 square kilometers have been developed with "six utilities and one leveling" infrastructure in place. The zone currently hosts 121 projects, with a total investment of nearly 2 billion RMB, contracted foreign investment of $120 million, and actual utilized foreign investment of $80 million.
