The Jinan Jibei Economic Development Zone is located in the northern part of Jinan, the capital of Shandong Province, and falls under the jurisdiction of Jiyang District. Established in 1995 and upgraded to a provincial-level development zone in 2003, it serves as the primary hub for Jinan’s “Northern Expansion” strategy and a key component of the coordinated development of the pilot zone for the transformation of old and new growth drivers.The zone has developed four leading industries centered on food and beverages, intelligent manufacturing, biopharmaceuticals, and next-generation information technology. It has been honored with titles such as “China’s Most Investment-Worthy Development Zone,” “China’s Reform and Innovation Demonstration Base,” and “Top Ten Parks for Investment and Development Environment in China.” In 2021, it was approved as a national-level “Cross-Strait Industrial Cooperation Demonstration Zone for the Transformation of New and Old Growth Drivers.”
