A national-level high-tech industrial development zone located in Donggang District, Rizhao City, it was upgraded to a national-level high-tech zone in 2018 following approval by the State Council.With a planned area of 40 square kilometers, the zone focuses on its "high-tech" and "innovative" positioning, prioritizing the development of industries such as biopharmaceuticals, next-generation information technology, new materials, and intelligent manufacturing. It is building innovation platforms such as a biopharmaceutical industrial park and a digital economy innovation base, as well as functional platforms including a high-tech industrial park and a pilot production base. Located approximately 10 kilometers from the Rizhao West Comprehensive Passenger Transport Station, the zone offers convenient transportation access. It is equipped with supporting facilities such as technology incubators, talent apartments, testing and inspection platforms, and enterprise service centers.
