The Nanchong Economic Development Zone (Nanchong Chemical Industry Park) in Sichuan is located south of downtown Nanchong. It serves as a petrochemical industry base, a hub for Sichuan’s strategic resources, a provincial-level circular economy demonstration zone, and a research, production, and demonstration base for alternative energy industries under China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC). As a provincial-level economic and technological development zone, it has a total planned area of over 50 square kilometers.
