Development Zone Introduction
The Ganqimaodu Port Processing Zone is located in Delingshan Town, Ulaad Zhongqi, Bayannur City. Construction began in 2003. With a total planned area of 45.69 square kilometers, the concentrated development zone covers 13.08 square kilometers. The zone is organized around a "one core, one port, four sectors" layout:The "One Core" refers to the China-Mongolia Science and Technology Innovation Hub; the "One Port" refers to the Ganqimaodu Port Land Port; and the "Four Sectors" comprise the modern chemical industry sector, the high-end metal materials industry sector, the new energy industry sector, and the energy conservation and environmental protection industry sector.
The functional positioning of the park is to leverage the Ganqimaodu Port to facilitate the on-site processing of overseas resources. The park is home to 46 enterprises, including coal washing, metal smelting, stone, non-metallic, and other processing and manufacturing companies. In 2010, the Ganqimaodu Port Processing Zone was designated by the autonomous region as a “Key Industrial Park along the Yellow River Economic Belt”; in 2011, it became a key industrial park under the “Double Hundred Billion” Project and was upgraded to an autonomous-region-level industrial park that same year; in 2012, it was listed by the autonomous region as the sixth batch of pilot demonstration zones for industrial circular economy, and by the end of that year, it was recognized by the Department of Commerce of the autonomous region as the first batch of import coal on-site processing bases.
