Located in the "Golden Triangle" region of Hohhot, Baotou, and Ordos, the zone covers a total area of 138 square kilometers, with a planned development area of 24 square kilometers. Currently, infrastructure construction has been completed on nearly 20 square kilometers.Established in March 1999, it was renamed the “Inner Mongolia Helinger Economic Development Zone” in September 2006 following approval by the National Development and Reform Commission. On November 30, 2021, it was further renamed the “Hohhot Helinger Dairy Industry Development Zone.” As a Class I development zone in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, it serves as a key industrial park for green food processing and big data/cloud computing in Hohhot City.
