The Liaoning Tai'an High-Tech Agricultural Industrial Development Zone is located south of Tai'an County, Anshan City. Established in 2007, it was designated as a provincial-level economic development zone by the provincial government in November 2020.It has successively been awarded the titles of National Demonstration Park for Rural Industrial Integration, National Agricultural Science and Technology Park, National Pilot Zone for the Integration of Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary Industries, National Base for High-Quality Development of Agricultural International Trade, National Science and Technology Village for White-Feathered Broiler Chickens, Provincial Demonstration Cluster for Agricultural Product Processing, Provincial Base for Foreign Trade Transformation and Upgrading, Provincial Modern Agricultural Industrial Park, and Provincial "Star Innovation Space," among other pilot and demonstration designations.With a total planned area of 48 square kilometers and a core zone of 10 square kilometers, the park has attracted cumulative investments exceeding 300 million yuan. Development and construction have been completed across 2 square kilometers within the core zone, with infrastructure largely achieving “nine utilities and one leveling.” The park focuses on developing industries such as agricultural product processing (food processing), biotechnology, and modern services. Currently, 74 enterprises are based here, including 8 large-scale enterprises, 2 national key leading enterprises in agricultural industrialization, and 2 national high-tech enterprises.The park has established technical R&D platforms such as a provincial-level professional technology innovation platform and a provincial-level engineering technology R&D center. It has built a comprehensive industrial chain system for white-feathered broiler chickens that integrates breeding, farming, hatching, food processing, testing, R&D, logistics, and sales. The park possesses an annual processing capacity of 200 million broiler chickens,1 million pigs, and 10,000 tons of prepared foods and 120,000 tons of frozen processed foods. The zone directly provides 10,000 jobs and benefits 200,000 surrounding farming households, increasing their average annual income by 20,000 yuan.
