The Chaoyang High-Tech Industrial Development Zone is a high-tech zone approved for establishment by the Liaoning Provincial Government in June 2006. Since its inception, and particularly after the provincial government designated the Chaoyang High-Tech Industrial Development Zone as the site for the Liaoning (Chaoyang) New Energy Electrical Equipment (Supercapacitor) Industrial Base in February 2009, the zone has achieved significant milestones in areas such as investment promotion, infrastructure development, platform construction, and policy research.To date, the developed area has reached 5 square kilometers, with 15 kilometers of roads constructed and supporting facilities such as water supply and drainage, heating, electricity, and telecommunications fully in place. A 15,000-square-meter technology building and 120,000 square meters of incubation space have been completed. A total of 83 enterprises have settled in the park, attracting 15 billion yuan in investment.With the arrival of a group of representative leading enterprises, including Chaoyang Liyuan New Energy Co., Ltd., Chaoyang Yuanda New Energy Co., Ltd., and Liaoning Chaoyang Solar Technology Co., Ltd., the High-Tech Zone has preliminarily established an industrial development framework for new energy electrical equipment, centered on supercapacitors, wind power generation equipment, and solar photovoltaic power generation equipment. In December 2009, the Provincial Economic and Information Commission designated the park as the “Liaoning Provincial SME Entrepreneurship Guidance and Incubation Base.”In September 2010, the Ministry of Science and Technology designated the park as the “National Torch Program Chaoyang New Energy Electrical Equipment Specialized Industrial Base.”
