As one of the birthplaces of orthopedic medical devices in China and the primary hub for Zhangjiagang’s medical device industry, the Zhangjiagang Medical Device High-Tech Industrial Park consistently keeps pace with trends in the medical field, continuously seizes development opportunities, introduces special support policies for medical devices, establishes a dedicated medical device industry fund, conducts targeted investment promotion, and achieves sustainable development. The park has attracted more than 50 entity enterprises in the fields of orthopedic implants and high-end medical devices, including Aide Technology,Aideer, Xinrong Bolt, LeKai Biotech, Xieshu Biotech, Kebang Genomics, and Yonglan Biotech, among more than 50 entity enterprises specializing in orthopedic implants and high-end medical devices. This has enabled the industry to expand from its existing full range of orthopedic implants—including trauma, spine, and joint implants—into new areas such as orthopedic new materials,minimally invasive therapies, in vitro diagnostic reagents, and medical aesthetics; simultaneously, the park has attracted 120 medical device trade and service enterprises, including “Beijing Lidi Keke”—the nation’s largest medical device CRO platform—as well as Heraeus Bone Cement from Germany, Beijing Natong Medical Group, and the marketing headquarters of Sanfu Medical Group.
The Zhangjiagang Medical Device High-Tech Industrial Park, centered on the goal of building a “Thousand-Hundred-Ten” medical device industrial base, is deeply implementing a new full-industry-chain development model of “One Port, One Valley, One Center, One Platform, and One Base”—namely, the Innovation Port, Medical Aesthetics Valley, Testing Center,Medical Trade Platform, and Sterilization Base. By strengthening and complementing the high-end medical industry chain, the park is building a high-end medical device industrial base that integrates R&D, incubation, testing, registration, production, sterilization, and trade. It aims to create China’s most influential and distinctive “most comprehensive industrial chain” and “strongest industrial cluster” in the country, with the goal of attracting over 1,000 tenant enterprises, achieving invoiced sales exceeding 100 hundred million yuan, and generating tax revenue exceeding 15 hundred million yuan.
