The Haimen Economic and Technological Development Zone, situated “adjacent to the Yangtze River, the sea, and Shanghai,” is the national-level development zone on the north bank of the Yangtze River that is closest to Shanghai, boasting a unique location and convenient transportation. A multi-modal transportation network featuring “integrated road, rail, and waterway transport, as well as seamless connections across land, sea, and air” has brought our zone into Shanghai’s one-hour economic circle, achieving comprehensive integration with Shanghai.
The Haimen Development Zone is vigorously advancing the construction of specialized industrial parks, with “parks within the zone” operating in coordinated synergy and “parks within parks” fully underway. The zone currently covers a total area of approximately 114 square kilometers, divided into three major functional zones: the Central Business City, the Jian Gong Lake Science and Education City, and the Riverside Industrial City. With a rational spatial layout, scientifically defined industrial sectors, and comprehensive supporting facilities, the zone possesses the capacity to attract and aggregate various factors of production.
