Park Overview
Located in the Yangtze River Delta—one of China’s most economically dynamic regions—the Gangzha Economic Development Zone in Nantong, Jiangsu, enjoys a prime geographical location. Situated within the main urban area of Nantong, it borders the Yangtze River to the south and the Nantong West Station of the Shanghai-Nantong Railway (under construction) to the west. As the bridgehead on the north bank of the Shanghai-Nantong Railway Bridge, it lies just across the water from the international metropolis of Shanghai and is fully integrated into the “Shanghai One-Hour Metropolitan Circle.”
The development plan for the zone fully considers the enhancement of infrastructure, industrial layout, public services, and the ecological environment. Building on its unique characteristics and strengths, the zone aims to establish an interconnected and complementary structure within the Yangtze River Delta region. After 20 years of development, it has initially established several specialized industrial parks, including a concentrated zone for shipbuilding and offshore engineering support industries, an information services industrial park, a specialized logistics equipment industrial park, an Internet of Things (IoT) industrial park, and an e-commerce demonstration base.
