The Jintan Economic Development Zone is a provincial-level economic development zone established in 1993 with the approval of the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government. Located east of the city center, the zone enjoys a prime location and convenient transportation. It covers a total area of 171 square kilometers, with 66 square kilometers designated for industrial development. Currently, the zone is home to 2,448 enterprises, including over 2,000 industrial enterprises, 468 commercial enterprises, and 190 foreign-invested enterprises.It has successively earned a series of honors, including “China’s Top Ten Most Dynamic Economic Development Zones,” “China’s New Materials Industry Demonstration Base,” “Top 100 New Energy Industrial Parks in China,” “Jiangsu Provincial Ecological Industrial Park,” and “Jiangsu Provincial Low-Carbon Economy Pilot Unit,” establishing itself as one of the most attractive provincial-level economic development zones in the Yangtze River Delta.
