The park was established on December 15, 2015, and was formerly known as the Wood Industry Park of the Jiangsu Siyang Economic Development Zone, which was established in July 2008.With a planned area of 33.5 square kilometers and a built-up area of 11.6 square kilometers, it serves as the core zone for the establishment of the Suqian National Agricultural Science and Technology Park. Centered on the principles of “revitalizing the park through science and technology, strengthening it through industry, and establishing it on an ecological foundation,” the park focuses on the deep processing of poplar wood, promotes the transfer and commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, and drives the transformation and upgrading of the poplar wood industry.It has attracted 66 general taxpayer enterprises, including China Forestry Group, CIMC Group, Jindi Wooden Doors, and Tubaobao Panels, forming a comprehensive industrial chain that encompasses rotary-cut veneer, medium- and high-density fiberboard, plywood, eco-friendly panels, kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, flooring, and wooden doors.In 2018, the park was successfully selected as part of the eighth batch of National Agricultural Science and Technology Parks, ranking second in overall score.
