The Nanjing Yuhua Economic Development Zone is located in the western part of Yuhuatai District, Nanjing, covering an area of 28 square kilometers. It is bounded by the Qinhuai New River to the north, Meishan to the south, the Ningwu Highway to the east, and the Yangtze River to the west. Separated from Hexi New City and the Olympic Sports Center by the river, the zone has a total planned area of 27.6 square kilometers and comprises four communities—Jinhua, Tianbao, Tianhou, and Xikou—as well as the preparatory office for the Jinhua New City Community.The registered population is approximately 17,000, and the floating population is approximately 12,000. The Yuhua Development Zone was established on October 16, 2000. In 2002, it was successively approved as a municipal-level and provincial-level industrial park. In 2006, the Yuhua Economic and Technological Development Zone applied for and was approved as a provincial-level economic and technological development zone, and was officially renamed the Nanjing Yuhua Economic Development Zone.
