The National Haian Economic and Technological Development Zone is located in Haian City, Jiangsu Province. It originated from the Haian Economic Development Zone, established in 1992. In 1996, it was approved by the People’s Government of Jiangsu Province and authorized by the National Development and Reform Commission as a provincial-level economic development zone. On July 30, 2012, it was upgraded to a national-level economic and technological development zone following approval by the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, and was officially named the Haian Economic and Technological Development Zone. In July 2019, it was designated as a National Intellectual Property Demonstration Zone. [1] On March 4, 2020, it was designated as a National Demonstration Base for New Industrialization by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
