The Nantong Economic and Technological Development Zone is part of Nantong City, Jiangsu Province. Located in the southeastern part of Nantong, it is adjacent to the Langshan Scenic Area—renowned as the foremost of China’s “Eight Minor Buddhist Mountains.” Established on December 19, 1984, with the approval of the State Council, it is one of the first 14 national-level economic and technological development zones.
The zone focuses on developing emerging industries such as pharmaceuticals and healthcare, electronic information, and precision machinery, as well as modern service industries like service outsourcing. It is currently in a phase of prioritizing the development of its “3+1” signature industries: next-generation information technology, high-end equipment, pharmaceuticals and healthcare, and new energy. The zone features specialized platforms including the Nantong Comprehensive Bonded Zone, the International Data Center Industrial Park, the Big Data Industrial Park, the National Integrated Circuit Testing Industrial Park, and the Next-Generation Information Technology Industrial Park.
