Huai'an High-Tech Zone was formerly known as the Huaiyin Economic and Technological Development Zone. Construction began in May 2001, and in November 2012, it was approved to be renamed the Jiangsu Huai'an High-Tech Industrial Development Zone. On February 13, 2017, it was officially approved for upgrading to a national-level high-tech industrial development zone.
As a national-level platform for high-tech industrial development and the “main stronghold” and “main battlefield” for industrial development in Huaiyin District, Huai’an High-Tech Zone has consistently emphasized its high-end positioning, adhered to an industry-oriented approach, and leveraged its platform advantages to accelerate the clustering of projects in its three leading industries: electronic information, high-end equipment manufacturing, and new energy vehicles and components.
