The Qidong High-Tech Industrial Development Zone focuses on leading industries such as precision machinery and high-end equipment manufacturing, and is fully committed to competing in the emerging new energy vehicle components sector. It has attracted 48 related supporting enterprises specializing in automotive interior and exterior trim, wheel rims, forged and pressed parts, and other products.In September 2025, the New Energy Vehicle Parts Supply Chain Base project was signed and established in the zone. With a planned total investment exceeding 2 billion yuan, the project will construct four facilities: a metal surface treatment center, a production facility for aluminum-based materials for automotive parts, a production facility for lithium-ion battery separator rollers, and a production facility for high-end precision fasteners. These projects span multiple sectors, including the manufacturing of automotive parts and components as well as lithium-ion battery production.
