The Jurong Economic Development Zone in Jiangsu Province is located in the prosperous southern Jiangsu region of the Yangtze River Delta. Approved by the provincial government as a provincial-level economic development zone in 1993, it covers an area of 134 square kilometers and serves as the pilot zone for Jurong’s initiative to build a satellite city of Nanjing. Over the past two decades, the development zone has consistently adhered to the philosophy of “integrity, diligence, responsiveness, and innovation,” striving to build a “green technology development zone.”The “five vertical and five horizontal” road network within the development zone has been fully established, and the “nine utilities and one leveling” infrastructure—including water, electricity, and natural gas supply—has been fully implemented across the 26.5-square-kilometer core area. A number of renowned domestic and international enterprises, such as Compal Electronics, Juteng International, Delta Electronics, Sanxin Technology, Zhida High-Voltage Electrical Equipment, Jinling Petrochemical, Country Garden, and Wuzhou International, have successively established operations in the park.The development zone offers an excellent living environment with superior ecological conditions, featuring more than 20 high-end residential communities such as World Trade Garden, Taipei Shangshang City, and Country Garden Phoenix City. It is home to two five-star hotels—the Yukun Kaiyuan Grand Hotel and the Country Garden Phoenix City Grand Hotel—and provides a comprehensive range of amenities for daily life, education, healthcare, and leisure and entertainment.
