The Wujiang Economic and Technological Development Zone will mark the 30th anniversary of its development and construction in 2024.Since its inception, the Development Zone has continuously optimized its industrial structure and carefully planned its overall industrial layout. It has now established two leading industries—the 100-billion-yuan electronic information sector and the 50-billion-yuan intelligent equipment manufacturing sector—and is accelerating the development of four “new” manufacturing clusters: artificial intelligence, biopharmaceuticals and medical devices, new energy, and new materials.The Development Zone continues to strengthen the leading role of scientific and technological innovation, making every effort to foster key enterprises, build development platforms, attract and cultivate talent teams, and promote the commercialization of research outcomes. In 2023, 11 enterprises were recognized as national-level “Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, and Innovative” (“Little Giant”) enterprises, and 47 enterprises were recognized as provincial-level “Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, and Innovative” small and medium-sized enterprises.
