Park Overview
Construction of the Jinhu Economic Development Zone officially began in May 2002, and on April 15, 2006, it was approved by the provincial government as a provincial-level economic development zone. The development zone’s medium- to long-term plan covers 80 square kilometers, with the first phase covering 20 square kilometers. The actual built-up area is 15 square kilometers, functionally divided into industrial land, residential land, public facility land, warehouse land, transportation land, road and plaza land, municipal land, green space, and other construction land.
A total of 1.25 billion yuan has been invested in infrastructure construction. The plan includes 20 roads—8 north-south and 12 east-west—covering a total area of approximately 580,000 square meters; a sewage treatment plant with a daily capacity of 40,000 tons has been constructed; and 60 million yuan has been invested in greening, resulting in a total green space area of 650,000 square meters, providing an excellent foundation for project development.
Industrially, the development zone is divided into five major categories: machinery manufacturing, instrumentation and cables, new building materials, light industry, textiles, and apparel, and photovoltaics. It consistently adheres to the overarching vision of a “modern industrial zone and high-quality new urban area,” striving to build a new-type economic development zone led by the electromechanical industry. For three consecutive years, it has been recognized by the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government as a “Model Industrial Park of Huai’an City.”
