Established in October 2001, the Xuyi Economic Development Zone in Jiangsu is located in the eastern part of Xuyi City, adjacent to the Nanjing-Huai’an and Nanjing-Lianyungang Expressways. It enjoys a prime location and convenient transportation.Currently covering an area of 23.1 square kilometers, the zone features a paved road network comprising twelve north-south and twelve east-west arteries, with a total length of nearly 100 kilometers. Its advantageous location, preferential policies, excellent supporting facilities, and high-quality services have attracted nearly 500 enterprises to settle here, initially forming distinctive industries such as bearings, bentonite, and new energy development.In April 2006, it was approved by the Jiangsu Provincial Government as a provincial-level economic development zone; in 2008, the Jiangsu Xuyi Bentonite Technology Park was designated as a provincial-level specialty industrial park; in August 2009, it was named the “Emerging Bearing Capital of Jiangsu Province” by the Provincial Machinery Federation; and in 2011, the Xuyi Economic Development Zone received approval from three provincial departments to establish a provincial-level ecological park.
