Park Overview
The Changshu Yushan High-Tech Industrial Development Zone in Jiangsu Province was established in the 1990s and was formerly known as the Yushan Industrial Park. In March 2003, it was renamed the High-Tech Industrial Park of the Changshu Economic Development Zone in Jiangsu Province and began operating independently as a supporting zone for the national-level Changshu Economic and Technological Development Zone.On August 11, 2017, the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government formally approved the establishment of the Changshu Yushan High-Tech Industrial Development Zone in Jiangsu Province, which operates under the current provincial-level high-tech zone policies. On November 28 of that year, due to administrative reforms in the former Yushan Town, the zone underwent a deep integration with the newly established Changfu Subdistrict.
Covering an area of 88.93 square kilometers, the zone has successfully attracted numerous companies over the years, including Fuji Electric (Japan), Faurecia (France), China Communications Construction Group,CRRC, Chinalco, Pangyuan Machinery, Lujie Kunchi, and Shanghai Chechuang, among others. It has also nurtured and expanded several local enterprises, such as Changshu Switchgear, automotive trim components manufacturers, and Tongrun Drive, forming three major industrial innovation clusters: precision equipment, key components for new energy vehicles, and new consumer products.It has successively been awarded honorary titles such as the “National Torch Program Changshu Electrical Machinery Industrial Base,” the national-level “Demonstration Zone for Product Quality and Safety of Exported Electronic Information Products,” and the “Jiangsu Province Demonstration Zone for the Integration of Informatization and Industrialization.”
In 2022, Yushan High-Tech Zone achieved a regional gross domestic product (GDP) of 16.35 billion yuan, representing a 4.8% increase over the previous year;general public budget revenue reached 1.54 billion yuan; total industrial output value reached 63.17 billion yuan, of which industrial output value from enterprises above designated size was 39.48 billion yuan, an increase of 14.9%; and output value from strategic emerging industries among enterprises above designated size was 13.35 billion yuan, an increase of 16.1%.
