Yushan High-Tech Zone:
[Overview] The Changshu Yushan High-Tech Industrial Development Zone (in preparation) (hereinafter referred to as the Yushan High-Tech Zone) was established in the 1990s and was formerly known as the Yushan Industrial Park. In March 2003, it was renamed the High-Tech Industrial Park of the Changshu Economic Development Zone, Jiangsu Province, and began operating independently as a supporting zone of the national-level Changshu Economic and Technological Development Zone.On August 11, 2017, the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government formally approved the establishment of the Changshu Yushan High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, implementing current provincial-level high-tech zone policies. On November 28 of the same year, due to administrative reforms in the former Yushan Town, the zone underwent deep integration with the newly established Changfu Subdistrict.
Covering an area of 88.93 square kilometers, the zone has successfully attracted numerous Fortune 500 companies and leading domestic enterprises over the years, including Fuji Electric (Japan), Faurecia (France), China Communications Construction Group, CRRC, Chalco, Pangyuan Machinery, Lujie Kunchi, and Shanghai Chechuang. It has also nurtured and expanded local enterprises such as Changshu Switchgear, Automotive Trim, and Tongrun Drive, forming three major industrial innovation clusters: precision equipment, key components for new energy vehicles, and new consumer products. It has been honored with titles such as the “National Torch Program Changshu Electrical Machinery Industry Base,” the national-level “Demonstration Zone for Quality and Safety of Exported Electronic Information Products,” and the “Jiangsu Province Demonstration Zone for the Integration of Informatization and Industrialization.”
