The Nanjing Economic and Technological Development Zone, located in Qixia District, Nanjing, was established on September 18, 1992. It ranks among China’s top ten national-level development zones, is a National Ecological Industrial Demonstration Zone, a world-class optoelectronic display industry base, and a national-level Yangtze River shipping and logistics hub. The Development Zone’s Party Working Committee and Administrative Committee are agencies dispatched by the Nanjing Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, and they exercise municipal-level administrative authority.
