The Dongtai High-Tech Industrial Development Zone is located in the eastern part of downtown Dongtai City, Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province. It was formerly known as the Dongtai Chengdong New District, which was established in late 2008, and its Management Committee was approved by the Dongtai Municipal Government in June 2010.In July 2019, it was officially renamed the Dongtai High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, with a planned area of 50 square kilometers.The park is situated at the Dongtai exit of the Coastal Expressway in the eastern part of the city center. It administers eight village (resident) committees and has a permanent population of approximately 30,000. Positioned as an industrial new town integrating advanced manufacturing with modern services, it has currently initiated the process of establishing itself as a provincial-level high-tech industrial development zone.
It has formed a spatial layout of “Four Parks, One Zone, and Two Axes.” The Wind and Solar Power Industrial Park (total planned area: 6 square kilometers) focuses on the development of wind energy, solar photovoltaics, and the electronic information industry; the Textile Machinery Industrial Park (total planned area: 10.2 square kilometers) covers sectors such as textile machinery manufacturing, auxiliary equipment manufacturing, equipment manufacturing, and R&D training;the Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Park (total planned area of 6.5 square kilometers) focuses on e-commerce, cloud computing, and the Internet of Things as its three main development directions and has been approved as a provincial-level science and technology enterprise incubator; the Modern Logistics Park (planned area of 3 square kilometers) leverages its water and land transportation hub to develop third-party smart logistics; and the Central Business District (planned area of 4 square kilometers) is dedicated to building a modern service industry system.
