The Qidong Offshore Engineering Shipbuilding Industrial Park is located in the southeastern part of Qidong City, at the northern end of the Chongqi Bridge. The park covers a planned area of 40 square kilometers, utilizing 20 kilometers of riverfront and extending 1.0 to 2.5 kilometers inland.
Currently, the Qidong Offshore Engineering and Shipbuilding Industrial Park is home to 20 enterprises, including COSCO Offshore Engineering, Blue Island Offshore Engineering, Honghua Marine Oil and Gas Equipment, Zhenhua Heavy Industries, Pacific Offshore Engineering, Runbang Offshore Engineering, Fengshun Shipbuilding, Shengshi Energy Equipment, and Zhonghai Kuo, with a planned total investment of approximately 30 billion yuan. Among these, there are 9 production enterprises, 5 enterprises that are both producing and under construction, and 6 enterprises currently under construction.In 2013, these enterprises achieved a total industrial output value of 9.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 65%; taxable sales reached 7.42 billion yuan, up 83.1% year-on-year; and tax revenue amounted to 300 million yuan, a 58.5% year-on-year increase, with all economic indicators showing rapid growth.
The Qidong Offshore Engineering and Shipbuilding Industrial Park has successively been awarded titles such as “National Offshore Engineering Equipment Industry Demonstration Base,” “National Offshore Engineering Equipment Cluster Standard Demonstration Zone,” “National High-Tech Shipbuilding Industry Base,” “National Ship Export Base,” and “Jiangsu Provincial Specialized Industrial Base for High-End Equipment Manufacturing.” It is a world-renowned, nationally leading offshore engineering and shipbuilding manufacturing base.
