Nantong Beigao-Hi-Tech City is located in Gangzha District, Nantong City. With a total planned area of 5.24 square kilometers, it is a large-scale, integrated technology-driven new city developed through the collaboration between Gangzha District—in response to the Nantong Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government’s strategy of “cross-river cooperation and integration with Shanghai”—in collaboration with the Shanghai Beigao Group—a subsidiary of the Zhabei District Government of Shanghai—to create a new technology city featuring large-scale development and the integration of industry and urban life. It has been successively designated as a “Jiangsu Provincial High-Tech Industrial Development Zone” and a “Nantong Municipal Demonstration Zone for Modern Service Industry Agglomeration.”
The development of the Science and Technology City combines the Shanghai Beigao-Tech Group’s 20 years of brand management experience with Nantong’s rich historical and cultural heritage. The industrial sector is designed to serve as an extension of Shanghai’s advanced industries into the Nantong region, attracting high-quality, high-tax-contributing, and high-output enterprises to form a high-tech industrial park and headquarters park focused on modern services;The commercial sector is being developed into a commercial hub for northern Nantong; the residential sector is gradually taking shape as an ecologically sustainable and livable community with a beautiful environment and comprehensive amenities. The project is dedicated to becoming the “premier modern service industry park on the north bank of the Yangtze River,” embodying internationalism, knowledge-based development, innovation, and integration.
