The development of the demonstration zone will be guided by the principles of “distinctive development, pioneering experimentation, dual-engine drive, and leading influence,” with a focus on green building technology and services, green building manufacturing, commerce and logistics, and the exhibition and finance sectors, while establishing multiple supporting green functions. Upon completion, the demonstration zone will serve as a vibrant hub for green building commerce and distribution, technological R&D, product manufacturing, standard-setting, and technical services.
The Demonstration Zone Management Committee will resolutely implement the strategy of “overall planning and phased implementation.”In the first phase, over a period of three years (through 2015), we will devote full efforts to cultivating research institutions with high technological content and significant development potential, and vigorously attract green building enterprises that are capital- and technology-intensive, highly industry-linked, and possess strong radiating and driving effects. We aim to preliminarily establish an industrial structure driven by the dual engines of low-carbon green building manufacturing and modern services. By 2015, we strive to establish a provincial-level science and technology park;In the second phase, over an eight-year period (through 2020), the Wujin Green Building Industry Cluster Demonstration Zone will be developed into a nationally leading and internationally renowned demonstration base for green building industry clusters, a hub for green building technology integration, and a hub for innovation and entrepreneurship in green building talent. The goal is to establish a national-level science and technology park.
