Park Overview
The Rudong High-Tech Zone in Jiangsu Province is located in the northeastern part of the Yangtze River Delta, in southeastern Jiangsu. Situated at the intersection of multiple national strategies—including the Coastal Development of Jiangsu, the Yangtze River Development, and the integration of the Yangtze River Delta—it enjoys a unique geographical advantage. It boasts excellent transportation conditions, featuring a comprehensive, multi-modal network that includes provincial highways, national highways, expressways, railways, airports, ports, and canals, and benefits from first-class open ports such as Yangkou Port, Nantong Port, and Nantong International Airport.
The Rudong High-Tech Zone in Jiangsu Province was among the first coastal towns (zones) in the country to open to the outside world and was once named one of the “Most Attractive Towns for Foreign Investment” nationwide. In 1986, it became home to the first Sino-foreign joint venture north of the Yangtze River. From the late 1980s through the 1990s, it experienced a surge in investment from overseas businesses, and in the new century, world-class multinational corporate groups began establishing operations there in succession. To date, the zone is home to more than 200 foreign-invested enterprises from over 10 countries—including Japan, South Korea, Thailand, the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Singapore—as well as regions such as Hong Kong and Taiwan.
