Development Zone Introduction
The Lvsi Port Area has a total planned area of 210 square kilometers, of which 150 square kilometers is land area. The port area is adjacent to the Lvsi Fishing Ground, one of China’s four major fishing grounds, and is home to the Lvsi National Central Fishing Port, one of the country’s six major central fishing ports. Within the zone, Lvsi Port is a Class II national port of entry. It is one of China’s rare natural deep-water harbors—alongside those in Ningbo, Dalian, and Hong Kong—and has the capacity to accommodate dozens of 100,000-ton deep-water berths.
The zone boasts a robust industrial foundation. Leveraging its unique natural resource advantages, it is fully committed to building a marine economic development base renowned both domestically and internationally, featuring strong production capacity and advanced capital management capabilities. Currently, there are over 400 aquaculture and processing enterprises, more than 50 cold storage and processing enterprises, and over 350 manufacturers of power tools and accessories. Additionally, textile and mechanical-electronic enterprises have already reached a significant scale.Building upon its existing traditional specialty industries—such as hardware and machinery, aquatic product processing, and aquaculture—the Lusi Marine Economic Development Zone will prioritize the development of a new port-adjacent industrial city. It will focus on port-adjacent heavy and chemical industries—including power generation, petrochemicals, and metal smelting—as well as large-scale port logistics. The zone is committed to becoming a modern port city in the northern part of the Yangtze River Delta that seamlessly integrates port operations, industry, fisheries, commerce, and tourism!
