Officially approved by the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government in April 2025, this provincial-level economic development zone is one of the few in the province—and the only one in Guanyun County—to be directly named after the marine economy. The approved area of the zone is 19.72 square kilometers.Established with the Guanyun Port Industrial Zone as its core, the zone emphasizes the marine economy and is building an industrial system encompassing marine engineering equipment and shipbuilding, clean energy development and utilization, tidal flat agriculture and marine fisheries, as well as port logistics and international trade. It is committed to becoming a new landmark for the marine economy in Jiangsu’s coastal region and a new benchmark for the development of green, low-carbon industrial parks in Lianyungang.
