Park Overview
The Yancheng Agricultural and Sideline Products Logistics Park operates under the administration of the Yancheng Agricultural and Sideline Products Processing and Trading Park Management Committee. It currently houses 12 enterprises, including two large-scale agricultural product wholesale markets: the East China Yancheng Agricultural Products Trading Center and the Fumin Vegetables and Fruits Primary Wholesale Market. These markets primarily handle the wholesale logistics of daily necessities such as vegetables, fruits, dry goods, grains, and oils, as well as cold-chain wholesale logistics for livestock, poultry, seafood, and frozen food products. With a daily wholesale volume of 2,000 tons, the park not only ensures daily supplies to all farmers’ markets, supermarkets, and community vegetable markets in the metropolitan area but also serves surrounding regions including Shanghai, Zhejiang, Anhui, and Shandong. At the same time, the park collaborates with 10 agricultural enterprises, covering functions such as vegetable processing and transportation, grain processing and transportation, mushroom cultivation and transportation, bioproduct production and transportation, and cold-chain transportation of livestock and poultry products. This has integrated the upstream and downstream channels of agricultural logistics, laying a solid foundation for the development of regional agricultural logistics.
“The Yancheng Agricultural and Sideline Products Logistics Park is a key ‘vegetable basket’ project developed by the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government. By integrating upstream cultivation and breeding bases, midstream processing, manufacturing, and wholesale trading, and downstream cold-chain logistics and distribution, it has achieved a brand advantage across the entire industrial chain and effectively played a role in stabilizing prices and ensuring supply,”” Yang Jianxiang, Deputy Director of the Management Committee of the Yancheng Agricultural and Sideline Products Processing and Trading Park, stated that the next step will be to continue seizing national strategic opportunities, benchmarking against and learning from advanced models within the Yangtze River Delta urban cluster, and striving to achieve the status of a “4A-level Service Industry Cluster” and a “Provincial-level Model Logistics Park.”
