The Xinghua High-Tech Industrial Development Zone in Jiangsu Province is located in Dainan Town. It covers a planned area of 4.97 square kilometers and consists of two sections: Section One covers 4.29 square kilometers, and Section Two covers 0.68 square kilometers.The High-Tech Industrial Development Zone currently hosts over 3,000 small, medium, and micro enterprises, including 235 enterprises above designated size. In 2021, the total industrial output value exceeded 50 billion yuan. It has developed distinctive industries such as steel cord for radial tires, stainless steel, and new metal materials. It is the world’s leading production base for steel cord, the nation’s largest distribution hub for stainless steel raw materials, and the largest trading center for stainless steel products in East China. The zone houses the National Quality Supervision and Inspection Center for Stainless Steel Products,the Xinghua Institute of High-Performance Metal Materials, and a public service platform for technological innovation among small and medium-sized enterprises. It boasts one academician workstation, three postdoctoral workstations, one national-level enterprise technology center, and 34 provincial-level R&D platforms. The stainless steel industry has been selected as one of China’s Top 100 Industrial Clusters and is a key 100-billion-yuan industrial cluster under cultivation by Jiangsu Province. The zone is also the sixth batch of national “Urban Mines” demonstration bases, possessing a comprehensive advantage across the entire stainless steel industrial chain.
