The Administrative Committee of the Nanjing Liuhe High-Tech Industrial Development Zone was officially established in December 2017. The planned area of the Nanjing Liuhe High-Tech Industrial Development Zone includes two existing industrial zones—the Liuhe Economic Development Zone and the New Materials Industrial Park—as well as three newly developed sectors: Xincheng, Xiongzhou, and Chengxi, with a total planned area of 34.2 square kilometers.Operating under a management and development model characterized by “one zone with multiple parks, unified management, independent operation, and coordinated development,” the park is responsible for the construction of innovation and technology platforms within the district’s two existing industrial parks and future new sectors, as well as for the development of high-tech industries. The park’s leading industries are smart manufacturing, energy conservation and environmental protection, and new materials.
