Park Overview
The Danyang Economic Development Zone in Jiangsu Province was established in 1992 and was approved by the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government as a provincial-level economic development zone in 1993. It covers an administrative area of 178 square kilometers. It serves as Danyang’s new urban area and its new political, economic, and cultural center. After more than 20 years of development and opening up, the zone has become an important hub for industrial economic activity, a leading area for technological innovation, and a model zone for urban modernization in both Zhenjiang and Danyang. In 2014, with the approval of the provincial government, the Qu’a Subdistrict Office of Danyang City was established within the Development Zone and operates jointly with the Development Zone Management Committee.
The zone features comprehensive industrial support facilities and relatively low business and living costs. Its leading industries include automotive parts, precision manufacturing, biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, new materials, new energy, and aerospace manufacturing.
